Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Freelance Media Sales Specialist / Business Development Manager to join our media organization specializing in the web3/blockchain industry. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue for the site by forming partnerships with crypto-related organizations and selling various PR/content marketing opportunities. This position is ideal for upstart interns or experienced media sales professionals looking to earn extra income as a side-hustle. The earning potential is uncapped as you will receive generous commissions of up to 20% on all revenue generated.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and prospect potential crypto-related organizations and businesses to form partnerships with for advertising and content marketing opportunities.
  2. Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within the web3/blockchain industry to generate leads and opportunities.
  3. Conduct thorough research on prospective clients, understanding their needs, and tailoring sales pitches accordingly.
  4. Present and sell various PR/content marketing options, such as sponsored articles, featured interviews, banner ads, and other advertising formats.
  5. Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to maximize revenue while ensuring a win-win situation for both parties.
  6. Collaborate with the editorial team to create compelling sales materials, including media kits, case studies, and sales presentations.
  7. Track sales activities, pipeline, and revenue generation using appropriate CRM tools or systems.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  9. Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, revenue targets, and market insights to the management team.

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in media sales, business development, or the crypto industry is preferred, but not required. We encourage energetic and self-motivated individuals who are eager to enter the world of partnership marketing, media sales, or the crypto industry to apply.
  2. A strong understanding of the web3/blockchain industry, its key players, and emerging trends, or a willingness to learn and stay updated on industry developments.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients.
  4. Self-motivated and target-driven, with a strong desire to succeed and exceed sales targets.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, while also being a team player when collaborating with the editorial and management teams.
  6. Familiarity with PR/content marketing concepts and strategies, or a keen interest in developing expertise in this area.
  7. Proficient in using CRM tools or systems to manage sales activities, track progress, and generate reports (training can be provided if needed).
  8. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for clients and the publication.
  9. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  10. A flexible schedule and willingness to work on a freelance basis, with the ability to dedicate sufficient time and effort to achieve sales goals.
